Kibbe Test with Pictures: How to Read Your Own Body Lines at Home

What would you like me to do with this draft?

Editor’s Note

Eight years of watching women take this test, and the pattern that surprises me most is how rarely the pictures actually change anyone’s initial gut read — what usually shifts the result is rereading the descriptions *after* looking at the images, when the language lands differently. The visual component isn’t doing the heavy lifting you’d expect; it’s more like a permission slip to trust what you already sensed before you started second-guessing yourself. Which makes me wonder whether the real friction in typing yourself isn’t about gathering more information at all — so what do you think is actually keeping you stuck?

  1. Okay so I literally stood in front of my bathroom mirror with my phone propped up trying to follow along, and I *think* I’m a Soft Natural but the shoulder thing is confusing me — are they supposed to look wide relative to your hips, or just in general? I’m in Atlanta and honestly the humidity alone makes getting a clear photo a whole project lol. Biggest takeaway for me: I’m going to retake the photos in fitted clothes instead of my usual oversized tees. Game changer probably.
